Would you like to do something fun to celebrate your growing belly? Henna belly art is fun, relaxing, and a great way to look at your belly in a whole new way.

Made of crushed leaves from the henna plant combined with lavender essential oil, henna paste goes on dark, smells wonderful, and then dries and flakes off. Over the next day, the henna stains the top (dead) layers of skin cells into nice coffee tone colors. Your beautiful design will last anywhere from 6-15 days depending on your skin type and activities.

Henna art can be done individually, as part of a pregnancy Blessingway ceremony, or as a fun "Ladies Night Out."

Cost: $40 for a full belly design
$85 for 2 hours of henna art (a hostess gathers friends, and the cost can be split among the participants, with each
person leaving with a smaller design on her arm, ankle, etc.)

Location: my home for a full belly design; a hostess's home if holding a henna art gathering of friends.

The Henna Process

Henna paste being applied with an applicator bag, much like icing on a cake. The paste feels cool and includes an essential oil such as lavendar which makes it smell wonderful.
It will take about 15- 20 minutes to completely dry.
Henna designs after 2 days. The henna art will gradually fade over the next few weeks.
